Unidisk 2.1 delivers the same high video quality, and incorporates much of the audio circuitry, used in Linn’s Unidisk 1.1, to offer a disc player which will completely transform your music and movie experience.

As with the Unidisk 1.1, Unidisk 2.1 delivers high quality audio or video from a range of ‘silver disc’ types, including CD, Super Audio CD, DVD-Video or DVD-Audio. The ability to carefully extract and process the information from each disc format using dedicated circuitry means that the Unidisk 2.1 can be thought of as a high performance CD player, SACD player, DVD-Video and DVD-Audio player integrated into one box, resulting in incredible audio performance and a more involving audio and video experience.

Using much of the highly advanced electronics found in the Unidisk 1.1, the Unidisk 2.1 offers a vastly superior sound compared with most other CD players and dedicated DVD players. With analogue audio outputs for the best audio performance in 5.1 surround systems, encoded digital multi-channel audio outputs, and supporting all major video formats, including RGB, S-Video and Composite Video, Unidisk 2.1 is an ideal disc player for your home theatre system.

Unidisk 2.1 benefits from ‘silent power’ from an evolved version of Linn’s Switch Mode Power Supply which delivers power to the internal circuitry and minimises the effects of noise from the mains supply on the product performance. Where conventional power supplies operate through the standard audio bandwidth, Linn high-frequency Switch Mode Power Supplies instead convert power at frequencies well outside the audio bandwidth ensuring the audio signal is unaffected by this conversion and all you hear is the music.

Available in a choice of silver and black finishes, Unidisk 2.1 is also multi-room enabled which means that you can enjoy music throughout your home as part of a Linn Knekt multi-room system.
